Budge-Proof Makeup

Hello & happy pre-summer sunshine filled Monday! I've had a very busy, bright & plain past couple of weeks away from the blog- you catch my drift? Like, you have a lot of big busy days, then everything in between is just plain? Well, that's been me- & I'm hoping that changes soon with good summer vibes headed my way.

With good summer vibes, you need a solid foundation routine you can run to without any fear of creases, slips, flakes & makeup madness. Lately I've really liked the idea of not wearing any makeup- I know, odd. Especially for me, but all in the best ways!

I mean I'm not saying I don't love all of the makeup pictured above, because I wear them everyday (I'm practically married to these products)- but I do like the feeling of letting my face rest without a million products on it. You dig? In my book, it's definitely a game changer when you can walk out of your house confidently without wearing makeup.

Especially living in a humid 100+ degree environment such as myself. I love you Cali, I really do. Just not this drought. Well, my definite no budge bulletproof (okay, well maybe not bulletproof- but still!) makeup as of recent is as follows:

I. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Pro's: this is my holy grail primer. This, is the reason why I use primer. Literally, if you do not use primer with your foundation and have problems, you need this in your life. Just saying.

Con's: none. It is literally magical.

II. Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation in Ivory

Pro's: all natural, beautiful foundation; goes on smoothly & is budge proof.

Con's: be careful not to apply too much- otherwise you're makeup will look cakey. A little ALWAYS goes a long way.

III. MAC Pro Conceal Palette in Light

Pro's: perfect for concealing all different types of blemishes on skin & highlighting under eyes.

Con's: not a fan of concealer shade in Pale Pink- especially when a light toned individuals concealing goals I are getting rid of the pink/red tones in the skin.

IV. Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer in Radiant

Pro's: perfect for under-eye highlighting area.

Con's: must be set with light powder for no creasing reassurance.

V. Real Techniques foundation face brush

Pro's: buffs foundation in skin beautifully.

Con's: none.

VI. Maybelline Instant Age rewind in Light

Pro's: it defeats all odds of dark circles.

Con's: must be set with powder or creasing happens.

VII. MAC Studio Fix Powder in NW20

Pro's: sets all of your makeup in place perfectly, doesn't look super cakey, and gives matte flawless finish.

Con's: can be very drying for skin; especially in under eye area.

VIII. Cinema Secrets brush cleanser

Pro's: it's like blue pixie dust, magic & potion filled goodness that destroys all bacteria & old makeup on all brushes. I will never do that baby shampoo/ olive oil regime EVER again.

Con's: none. Like I said- magic.

There you have it! My budge-proof makeup regime in full blown action! In case you were wondering, this makeup routine has lasted me through Disneyland days, to beach bumming the streets of Santa Barbara- oh, and it stayed on even when I went in the ocean. I know, insane.

Surf's up dude!
