Review on new Lorac Mega Pro Palette

You know that feeling of never wanting to fully dive into love, yet somehow feeling it beckon you? The same feeling you get when desiring to let your fingers dance in the fresh shadows and swatch away, yet you couldn't bare to murder a new near & dear palette? Especially if it's this one:

Usually on a review, I'd go into detail about the loveliness in the product. So, I'll give you a basic run down and say that there are 16 matte & 16 shimmers. All are equally intensely pigmented, and fall out is minimum. The matte shades aren't like your typical dry dragging shadows- they glide on like butter.
Shimmery shadows in general I would say have a reputation for either too much fall out or too little pigmentation- but these extra glitter infused shimmers, they take the cake!

However, I'm choosing to spare you the rest of the heart crushing details on this palette- because if there wasn't such a tragedy tied to this palette, I would be giving it a 5 out of 5.
The tragedy:
If any of you kept up to date with the latest in Lorac land (or rather, makeup palette release obsession world), I'm certain you know the dirt on this gem.
If you don't know the back story (rather, travesty) Lorac made major hype over the long awaited heaven sent mega pro palette. It launched, everyone went wild, and suddenly by day number 2, they were all sold out. Amazon was simply the "fall back guy" (translation- they had some in stock too, but on and off). You kept hoping Amazon (fall back guy) would have what you wanted (the palette dripping in gold), but you came to the reality that the fall back guy would never amount to what you had with your ex Lorac (yes, ex- because Lorac, you really should have prepared for a big breakthrough with sales and all the hype action from pretty much every woman that loves you).
By the looks of their facebook wall, I'm pretty positive they get the picture. Gosh though, it just stings when you feel like you've missed out. However, I have not given up on my beloved Lorac. They truly do have makeup treasures worth digging into.
That is why I'm giving this palette a 4.8 out of 5. The .2 is missing in symbolism of your frustration in not getting your hands on the palette, and my frustration in you not receiving it as well. To be completely honest with you, I'm pretty much obsessed. No, I'm not trying to rub it in- I actually am encouraging you to look into Lorac's other pro palettes. I mean a buttery soft textured shadow with heavy pigmentation is what a lot of us beauty pioneers are after. In fact, here's a little word of encouragement for you that I thought of when reviewing this palette:
We are all essentially pioneers in this world of makeup & beauty. We are creatives, and we aspire to put our artistic skills to use. We long to pick up tools, items, and even more skills along the way on our journey. If this palette didn't make its way into your path, don't sweat it. There's always going to be the latest and greatest palette, so don't be bummed out.
Pioneers won some & lost some along the way, but they managed!

Sending warm hugs & a Happy New Year-

Hannah Ruth
